Biomaterial Distribution Process and Important Notes：
〔Procedure〕
1. Access the NIDB
Online Catalog via the NIDB official website.
2. Select the biological materials you wish to request for distribution, add them to the shopping cart, and click "Confirm" upon completing your selection.
3. Fill out the required information on the Biological Materials Order Form.
4. The system will automatically generate the Biological Materials Order Form and send it to both the applicant and the NIDB via email.
5. After verifying inventory, NIDB will contact the applicant to confirm order details and request the necessary information required for material distribution.
6. NIDB will provide a Biological Materials Distribution Application Form. The applicant and the responsible authority at their institution/unit must review, sign, and return the signed form along with any required documents specified by NIDB.
7. Upon document approval, NIDB will provide payment details. The applicant must complete the payment within the specified period.
8. Once payment is confirmed, NIDB will issue an invoice and proceed with shipment.
〔Notes〕
1. All listed prices vary according to the type of institution and intended purpose. Taxes are included; packaging and delivery fees are not.
2. For materials with a BSL (Biosafety Level) of 2 or above, the biosafety relevant documents must be submitted.
Biomaterial Public Deposition Procedure：
〔Procedure〕
1. The applicant shall complete the
Biomaterial Deposit Application Form and, according to the category of biomaterial to be deposited, fill out the corresponding Biomaterial Information Form for Deposit (click to download:
virus /
Recombinant Defective Virus /
bacteria /
fungi).
2. The applicant shall send the above documents to the NIDB email address (nidb@nhri.edu.tw) and indicate “Public Deposition Application” in the email subject line.
3. After internal review, an NIDB staff will contact the applicant to arrange the shipment of the biomaterials.
4. Upon internal confirmation of the biomaterials, NIDB will carry out the biomaterial preservation procedures.
5. After completion of storage tube, NIDB will issue a Certificate of Deposit to the applicant.
