CDC and NHRI Sign MOU to Jointly Promote the Establishment of the National Infectious Diseases Bank
To advance the establishment and sustainable development of the National Infectious Diseases Bank (NIDB), the Taiwan Centers for Disease Control, Ministry of Health and Welfare (CDC) and the National Health Research Institutes (NHRI) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on January 15, 2024. Through this collaboration, both parties will jointly collect and manage pathogen samples for the NIDB to accelerate the development of diagnostic reagents for emerging/reemerging infectious diseases and enhance Taiwan’s capabilities in academic research and biotechnology innovation.
