NBRC Visited NHRI for a Collaborative Exchange Meeting

#
Biological Resource Center, NITE (NBRC), under the National Institute of Technology and Evaluation (NITE) of Japan, visited the National Health Research Institutes (NHRI) on March 18, 2025, for a collaborative exchange meeting.

NBRC has long been committed to expanding its collection of diverse microbial resources, which are provided for academic research and industrial applications. In addition, NBRC offers services such as microbial deposition, genomic sequencing information sharing, experimental services, equitable benefit-sharing of resource utilization, and patent deposits.

NBRC and the NIDB are both members of the World Federation for Culture Collections (WFCC) and the Asian Consortium for the Conservation and Sustainable Use of Microbial Resources (ACM). During the visit, representative Dr. Hiroko Kawasaki and curators Dr. Mika Miyashita, Dr. Kaito Shibata and Ms. Rie Funabiki of NBRC engaged in a pleasant and in-depth exchange with NIDB. The meeting strengthened mutual understanding and laid the groundwork for potential future collaboration.

NIDB sincerely thanks NBRC for their visit and valuable insights, and we look forward to continued cooperation and more opportunities for exchange in the future.
